Couldn’t Be Any More Proud: Thai Public-School Kids Rise to Prominent Global Recognition
On the floor of the Junior Botball Global Finals 2026 in China, it was an outstanding group of children from a Thai government school, not those million-baht school tuitions, that managed to bring the top prizes for the country. Fighting hard in the most challenging division, Phyathai School won two gold medals and one silver medal, raising the Thai flag in the international arena.

It’s another great example of how true greatness can be developed not in luxurious classrooms but in public schools with enthusiastic teachers and children who don't shirk difficulties.

Representatives of Bravery: Only Two Teams Competing in the Advanced Division Among All Thai Teams.

Only two Thai teams chose the Advanced division to compete, and the team from Phayathai School is one of them. After refusing an easy Gold Prize in the Rookie division, they chose to tackle the most difficult tasks under the guidance of project leader Kru Aom. She firmly believed in making them truly grow instead of just getting a medal.

Special Recognition Goes to the Three Brave Boys: Yuki, Zen, and Kin!

The Advanced division required exceptional accuracy. Competing with LEGO SPIKE Prime, they managed to show outstanding results using lifts, sensors, and additional parts that the FIA coaching team 3D-printed and customized for them.

The Unpredicted Episode of True Sportsmanship
Having been prepared for all possible situations, they couldn't even think about how big their hearts are. When the neighboring team had a need to borrow some stuff, these boys shared their rubber bands with their robot, knowing that it would make it less effective. This is what we call true sportsmanship.

In a situation of stress and uncertainty, thanks to qualities like resilience, composure, and a positive attitude, which were instilled in them by their teachers and coaches, they managed to raise themselves. They fought hard and got their best result: 7 out of 12 tasks solved.

The Most Important Prize

Though this team couldn't win a gold medal, what they got is way more important for them: huge growth, great endurance, and sportsmanship that will stay with them forever.
